Taylor Swift's best friend since childhood, Abigail Anderson Berard, is having a baby.
She made the pregnancy announcement Wednesday night on Instagram using lyrics from Swift's "Tortured Poets" song "But Daddy I Love Him." The Nashville native's unbuttoned black blouse shows off her baby bump as she snacks on some Cheez-Its. The caption reads, "I'm having his babyyyy," with a blue heart emoji at the end.
Anderson Berard's husband, Charles Berard, said in the comments, "Never been happier to be tagged in a post."
Swift commented, "When the internet says ‘MOTHER’ I feel like this pic is actually what they mean."
Anderson Berard and Swift's friendship dates back to high school. The singer wrote about the beginning of their relationship in "Fifteen" from "Fearless (Taylor's Version)": "You sit in class next to a redhead named Abigail / And soon enough you're best friends / Laughing at the other girls / Who think they're so cool / We'll be out of here as soon as we can."
In 2008, Anderson Berard surprised Swift on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
"You've got to be so proud of her," DeGeneres said.
"It's amazing, just to be on the sidelines and experience something like that it's awesome," Anderson Berard answered.
In 2017, Swift attended her longtime friend's wedding to now-ex Matt Lucier in Martha's Vineyard. The singer wore a burgundy bridesmaid dress. Anderson Berard remarried to Charles Berard in 2022.
The two besties cook, catch up and talk about babies in Swift's Netflix documentary, "Miss Americana," released in 2020.
"I think you would be an excellent mother," Anderson Berard said to Swift.
In December, Anderson Berard flew to New York to celebrate Swift's 34th birthday.
